Driver Bio:

Ty Dillon embarks on his second full-time season of competition in the 2015 NASCAR XFINITY Series driving the No. 3 Bass Pro Shops/WESCO/Yuengling Light Lager Chevrolet with crew chief Danny Stockman.

Dillon drove to a fifth-place finish in the driver championship point standings during the 2014 season as a Sunoco Rookie of the Year contender, garnering one win at the iconic Indianapolis Motor Speedway, seven top-five, 24 top-10 finishes, three pole awards (Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Kentucky Speedway, Kansas Speedway) and led 205 laps. He also made two NASCAR Sprint Cup Series starts for Circle Sport Racing in the No. 33 Chevrolet SS at Atlanta Motor Speedway and Phoenix International Raceway.

Growing up in a racing family, Dillon began turning laps at the age of 13. Driving for family owned and operated Team Dillon Racing, which is based on the campus of Richard Childress Racing. He traveled the East Coast racing dirt late models, super late models, modified and US Legends cars.

The Welcome, N.C., native ran a limited schedule in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East division in 2010, while competing full time in the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards, earning his first-career win in the series at Gresham Motorsports Park in August, in addition to two top-five and four top-10 finishes and 15 laps led. He went on to win the 2011 ARCA Championship in his first full season of competition recording seven wins, seven poles, 13 top-five and 16 top-10 finishes driving the No. 41 RCR Chevrolet Impala. In 22 ARCA Series starts, Dillon won nine times.

In 2011, Dillon made his NASCAR Camping World Truck Series debut at Kentucky Speedway followed by racing full-time in the Truck Series during the 2012 and 2013 seasons in the No. 3 Bass Pro Shops Chevrolet Silverado. His first career NCWTS win came at Atlanta Motor Speedway in August 2012 propelling him to the Series’ Sunoco Rookie of the Year award.

Dillon won two NCWTS races in 2013 at Kentucky Speedway and Texas Motor Speedway and finished runner up in the driver championship point standings. In his two full-time seasons, he recorded three wins, 16 top-five, 29 top-10 finishes, and four pole awards. He was awarded the 2013 Camping World Truck Series Most Popular Driver award.

Dillon began racing in the Nationwide Series in 2012 making three starts for RCR. He made his debut at Dover International Speedway finishing eighth, recorded his first top-five finish at Indianapolis Motor Speedway and rounded out the season finishing seventh at Richmond International Raceway.

In 2013, Dillon competed in nine Nationwide Series races in the No. 33 Chevrolet Camaro. He recorded a season-high, seventh-place finish in the No. 33 WESCO Chevrolet Camaro at Bristol Motor Speedway. Dillon moved to full-time competition in the No. 3 Chevrolet Camaro in 2014 with crew chief Danny Stockman.

Married in December, 2014 (Haley), Dillon enjoys golfing, fishing, hunting and dirt racing in his spare time. He continues to race competitively for Team Dillon Racing in the No. 41 car competing in several DIRTCar National events annually. He won the DIRTcar UMP Modified Gator Championship at Volusia Speedway Park in 2011, 2012 and 2014 prior to Speedweeks at Daytona International Speedway.
