Ty Dillon embarks on his first full season of competition in the 2014 NASCAR Nationwide Series driving the No. 3 Bass Pro Shops/WESCO/Yuengling Light Lager Chevrolet with crew chief Danny Stockman.
Dillon rounded out his second season in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series as runner-up in the championship point standings and was awarded the Camping World Truck Series Most Popular Driver Award. Over the course of the 2013 season, Dillon garnered two victories at Kentucky Speedway and Texas Motor Speedway, one pole award at Las Vegas Motor Speedway and nine top-five and 12 top-10 finishes. He also made nine Nationwide Series starts in the No. 33 Chevrolet Camaro for RCR.
Dillon earned the 2012 Camping World Truck Series Sunoco Rookie of the Year honors and the fourth position in the championship point standings on the strength of one win, three pole awards, seven top-five and 17 top-10 finishes.
During the 2012 season, Dillon also made three Nationwide Series starts under the Richard Childress Racing banner, garnering one top-five and three top-10 finishes.
Dillon was crowned the 2011 ARCA Racing Series champion in his first full season of competition, earning seven wins, seven poles, 13 top-five and 16 top-10 finishes driving the No. 41 RCR Chevrolet. Prior to winning the championship, Dillon ran a limited ARCA Racing Series schedule of three races where he won back-to-back races at Kansas Speedway and Rockingham Speedway.
The Welcome, N.C., native ran a limited schedule in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East division in 2010, while competing full time in the ARCA Racing Series, earning his first-career win in the series at Gresham Motorsports Park in August, among two top-five and four top-10 finishes and 15 laps led.
Recording 10 top-10 finishes in 13 asphalt late model starts in 2009, Dillon also competed in 11 dirt modified and late model races that year. In 2008, the 20-year-old driver earned nine wins in 16 starts in a dirt late model, including the All-Star Shootout at The Dirt Track at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
Dillon began racing in 2006, earning two Bandolero and Legend Chargers wins in his first year. He registered nine wins and 10 runner-up finishes in 2007 and won Atlanta Semi-Pro Legends.
