This is the car that dominated superspeedway racing in 1999. Dale Earnhardt kicked things off with RCR Chassis No. 43 by winning the first Twin 125 qualifying race and then finishing second in the Daytona 500. The GM Goodwrench Service Plus team won at Talladega Superspeedway in April and then finished second again at Daytona International Speedway in July.

Earnhardt repeated victory at Talladega in October after having to qualify in the second round (27th) after engine failure in the first round. The only other time the car was raced was in October 1998 at Talladega, where it finished 32nd and out of the race on lap 175 due to rear end damage after a crash on lap 137.
