Dale Earnhardt drove RCR Chassis No. 51 to five top 10 finishes in the 13 races it was entered in. It was first raced at California Speedway in 1999, where it finished 12th, and had its best result with Earnhardt when he finished third in the 2000 Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway. Kevin Harvick earned two top 10 finishes in his first three races driving this car. He then took it to the winner's circle in his fourth race behind the wheel in the inaugural NASCAR Winston Cup Series race at Chicagoland Speedway on July 15, 2001. It was his second victory of the season and the final race the car competed in.
