This car was on a racetrack only four times and was used as a test vehicle as many times as it was raced. Dale Earnhardt qualified and finished eighth in RCR Chassis No. 68 in the 2000 Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. In 2001, it had to be unloaded for The Winston at Lowe's Motor Speedway after Kevin Harvick wrecked the primary car in a first-lap accident. The rear brakes locked up shortly after the race resumed forcing Harvick to return to the pits. The brakes were released but the car only completed 19 laps before the engine let go, due probably to the strain placed on it from the locked-up brakes.
