This No. 3 Chevrolet Monte Carlo was driven by Richard Childress in the late 1970s and was sponsored by CRC Chemicals, the first major sponsor for Richard Childress Racing. The car was eventually sold to former NASCAR driver James Hylton and was returned to RCR from his "infamous" barn in South Carolina in 1995. The car was completely restored over a 30-month period.
