RCR Drivers Invade Philly as Part of Comcast’s #XFINITYTakeover

Engines roared up and down the streets of Philadelphia this past Tuesday as Comcast’s second annual #XFINITYTakeover rolled into town to help promote the upcoming XFINITY Series races at Dover International Speedway (June 3) and Pocono Raceway (June 10).

RCR’s NASCAR XFINITY Series drivers Daniel Hemric, Ben Kennedy and Brandon Jones all took part in the day’s activities, which included making Philly cheesesteaks, demonstrating burnouts and pit stops on the city streets and seeing the city from 57 floors up in the air.

Daniel Hemric documented the day from RCR’s XFINITY Series Twitter account (@RCRNXS), as he kicked off his time in the city speaking with media members and a visit to the Comcast Center before checking out the Franklin Institute. He later got the chance to learn how to make Philly cheesesteaks at both Pat’s and Geno’s before joining back up with his teammates for an observation deck visit downtown.

Ben Kennedy chronicled the day via RCR’s Instagram story, giving followers a chance to see the Fan Fest at the Comcast Center and a VIP’s view of the parade around City Hall. Brandon Jones had a special view for the parade, as he wheeled the No. 33 AAA Mid-Atlantic Chevrolet Camaro around town performing burnouts and demonstrating pit stops with his team.

The RCR trio ended their tour of Philadelphia with a bird’s-eye-view of the city when they visited One Liberty Observation Deck, which stands 883 feet above the ground.
