Seven Things to Pack for Your All-Star “Ride to the Race”

Richard Childress Racing wants to take you to the NASCAR All-Star Race at Charlotte Motor Speedway!

The RCR Museum is offering an exclusive day of racing for fans that includes a VIP tour of the museum with Chocolate Myers, wine tasting at Childress Vineyards and a chartered bus to the racetrack for a pre-race pit tour and seats at the NASCAR All-Star Race! It’s a trip that you absolutely don’t want to miss out on, so be sure to buy your trip today!

You definitely want to be fully prepared when you make it to the racetrack so that you have the experience of a lifetime! Do you know what you need to pack before you hop on your ride to the race? No? It’s a good thing our RCR drivers have some tips for this trip and every trip you make to the track…

1.      Your favorite driver’s hat…

You don’t want to show up to the race without a hat! It’s going to be hot at the track, and you don’t want your head to develop a shiny red tint… And wouldn’t it be embarrassing to run into Ryan Newman without your Caterpillar hat on?! You can purchase all of your RCR gear ahead of time from our online store!

2.      Sunscreen to keep the rest of you from turning red…

Daniel Hemric will always take a picture with you! But, a picture lasts forever, and this kind of red definitely isn’t your best color… Be smart and remember your SPF!

3.      Your best pair of shades…

Paul Menard’s future is so bright he never leaves the house without his! You don’t want to miss our Chevrolet SS cars speeding by because the sun is in your eyes. Make sure to pack your sunglasses!

4.      A snazzy cooler…

That’s not exactly a regulation cooler, Austin, but we know what you’re getting at! Each track has their own rules about cooler material and sizes to accommodate the safety of fans. Be sure to check online for what you can and can’t bring before you leave for the track!

5.      Twisted Tea for your cooler…

Don’t be scared to (responsibly) get a little twisted on race day! If you’re over the age 21, you’re going to want to have a Twisted Tea while you cheer on Ty Dillon and his RCR teammates! With 10 flavors, you’ll certainly be able to find one that you like. But be sure to bring cans or the new Bag ‘n Box; most tracks don’t allow glass!

6.      H2O!!

There’s nothing more important to bring than water! Brandon Jones can’t finish the race without water, and you can’t stay hydrated without it! We don’t want ANYONE making a trip to the infield care center.

7.      Comfy shoes for a long day…

Unlike the drivers in their cars, you’ll spend most of the time on your feet (especially when you’re cheering for your favorite RCR teams)! We also want you to bring your most comfortable pair of shoes because it gives us the opportunity to end our list with our all-time favorite Brendan Gaughan GIF…
