OneMain Financial returns as title sponsor of the Fall NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Dover International Speedway

"We will again use the race as a platform to continue to give back to our customers, employees, community partners and race fans."

OneMain Financial and Dover International Speedway have announced a renewed partnership for 2012 with OneMain Financial returning as the title sponsor of the fall NASCAR Nationwide Series race at the Monster Mile, the Sept. 29, 2012 “OneMain Financial 200.” This will be the second straight year OneMain Financial will sponsor the fall NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Dover.

 “Last year’s inaugural OneMain Financial 200 was extraordinarily successful, and we are excited to announce we will again use the race as a platform to continue to establish our brand and give back to our customers, employees, community partners and race fans,” said Mary McDowell, President and CEO.

The company’s NASCAR presence continues to grow, as it is the primary sponsor of the Richard Childress Racing No. 2 OneMain Financial Chevrolet, driven by Elliott Sadler, in the NASCAR Nationwide Series again this year. Sadler has already piloted the car to Victory Lane twice this season, winning at Phoenix International Raceway on March 3 and Bristol Motor Speedway on March 17.

The Sept. 29 “OneMain Financial 200” NASCAR Nationwide Series race is part of another triple-header NASCAR weekend at the Monster Mile that also includes the Sept. 28 NASCAR K&N Pro Series East race and the Sept. 30 “AAA 400” NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race.

Prior to the Sept. 28-30, 2012 race weekend, NASCAR will return to the Monster Mile on June 1-3, 2012 for the June 1 “Lucas Oil 200” NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race, the June 2 “5-hour ENERGY 200” NASCAR Nationwide Series race and the June 3 “FedEx 400 benefiting Autism Speaks” NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race.
