How is racing at Daytona (International Speedway) in July different than February?
"Each superspeedway race this season we've had really cool temperatures. In the Nationwide Series we're still able to tandem draft, therefore the cooler temperatures allow us to draft for much longer, giving us a greater benefit. Where it really pays off and you break away from the pack is by being able to do it for multiple laps. When we go back this week, we probably won't be able to hold the tandem draft as long. If you can't do that you'll see a lot more pack racing, making it a different complexion of a superspeedway race."

What do you have to do special to stay cool in Daytona? "Be lucky or wear your lucky socks... Superspeedway racing is always about  making it to the end. There's so little that depends on handling. The draft is such an equalizer, so as long as you have the basics of a good motor and body you have a shot to win. Namesake comes into play, those who are known to be there at the end will always have someone to go with them. For someone like myself it's always a chess match, you have to make friends throughout the race in order to be in contention."
                                       Austin Dillon
                           No. 3 AdvoCare Chevrolet Camaro

This Week's AdvoCare Chevrolet at Daytona International Speedway ...
Austin Dillon will pilot Chassis No. 128 from the Richard Childress Racing NASCAR Nationwide Series stable. This is the same Chevrolet Dillon drove to a 10th-place finish at Talladega Superspeedway in May.

Dillon at Daytona International Speedway ... Dillon has three previous Nationwide Series starts at Daytona International Speedway, finishing fifth in February 2012, fourth in July 2012 and 21st in February 2013. He also made his Daytona 500 debut in this year's Great American Race and has two NASCAR Camping World Truck Series starts at the track.

The Season So Far ... According to NASCAR's Loop Data Season-to-Date Statistics, Dillon leads the Nationwide Series in Average Starting Position (4.4), ranks second in laps in the Top-15 (88.2 percent), has led the second-most laps (336), ranks fourth in Fastest Laps Run (139), fourth in Average Running Position (9.671) maintains the fourth-best Driver Rating (99.5) and is the fourth-Fastest Driver on Restarts (8.733). He currently ranks fifth in the driver championship point standings, 20 markers behind leader Regan Smith.

AdvoCare in Red, White and Blue ... Dillon and the RCR team will sport a special red, white and blue "American Salutes" scheme in recognition of Spark, one of the most popular products of award-winning premier health and wellness company AdvoCare, on the No. 3 Chevrolet at Daytona International Speedway. AdvoCare Supporting the Childress Institute for Pediatric Trauma ... The health and wellness company will pledge $2,000 to CIPT for a top-five finish and $1,000 for a top-10 finish. So far this season, the No. 3 team has raised $12,000 towards the cause. The Childress Institute invests resources in research, education and awareness to improve the treatment for critically injured children in the U.S. and AdvoCare's generous donations are aimed at helping to raise awareness for pediatric trauma, the No. 1 killer of children in America. You can help save the lives of injured children by making a contribution to the Childress Institute in two ways: donate $33 in honor of Dillon via his website, or text WIN to 80077 to make a $10 donation.

Show Me the Money ... As one of four Nationwide Insurance Dash 4 Cash Qualifying drivers, Dillon will sport a blue spoiler on his Chevrolet Camaro Friday and will win a $100,000 bonus if he finishes ahead of fellow contenders Elliott Sadler, Kyle Larson and Brian Vickers this weekend. Furthermore, if Dillon is one of the four highest finishing fulltime Nationwide Series championship point contenders at Daytona, he will have another chance at a $100,000 bonus at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Other races in the D4C program include Chicagoland Speedway and Indianapolis Motor Speedway, where one driver could win a Million dollars (*by winning all four D4C races plus a $600,000 bonus for winning Indianapolis race outright). Meet Dillon ... Dillon is scheduled to participate in the Nationwide Series autograph Session on Friday, July 5 from 4:30 - 5:30 p.m. in the Sprint Fan Zone in the Daytona International Speedway Infield.

What did you learn about these cars at Daytona International Speedway and that style of racing in February
? "You can be leading or running 25th on the last lap and you don't know where you're going to end up. It's just wild racing. It's a tight pack where anything can happen. You see a little bit of pushing and a little bit of tandem drafting, but with it being hotter at Daytona International Speedway in July than it is in February, I think you will see less tandem drafting and more pack racing. You never know what can happen with that big pack."

Where do you want to be on that last lap? "I want to be out front.  I think that's the best place to be, and leading the pack. Or actually ... probably about the second or third tandem if it's tandem at the end then you want to be in the second or third one and have that run coming off of turn four."

Do you enjoy restrictor plate racing, whether it's at Daytona or Talladega?
"I think you have to. It is fun while you're doing it., it's just a big time bummer when you wreck after you have a good day and a fast car."

It's been a few weeks since you've run in the NASCAR Nationwide Series. What are your thoughts heading into this Friday night's race?
"I'm really looking forward to racing in the Nationwide Series race this weekend in Daytona. I'm honored to be able to race the Hunt Brothers Pizza Chevy with the No. 33 team. I haven't raced at Daytona in a Nationwide (Series) car before, but I've made quite a few laps there in the (NASCAR Camping World) Truck Series. With Ernie's experience calling the shots, I know we'll have a fast car and can compete upfront."
