Richard Childress Racing
Champion's Week Underway in Las Vegas
November 28, 2012
Kevin Harvick travels to Las Vegas this week, where he will represent Richard Childress Racing during the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Champion’s Week festivities. This year’s annual awards ceremony will be held at Wynn Las Vegas on Friday, Nov. 30, with SPEED, Motor Racing Network and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio providing live coverage, beginning at 8 p.m. Eastern Time.
Friday night’s star-studded event will include performances by Train, Lifehouse, Natasha Bedingfield and Phillip Phillips. Performers from The Beatles LOVE will also take the stage during the 2012 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Awards. The ceremony will be hosted by “America’s Got Talent” judge Howie Mandel and is the culmination of NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Champion’s Week honoring the 2012 champion along with the rest of the top-10 drivers in the final Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup standings.
NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Champion’s Week is packed with activities celebrating the 2012 season as we build excitement for the upcoming 2013 season. Included among the events is the NASCAR National Motorsports Press Association Myers Brothers Awards Luncheon, the annual event where drivers and teams collect a number of year-end awards and accolades. Last year, team owner Richard Childress was awarded the Buddy Shuman Award. One of professional stock car racing's oldest and most prestigious honors, the Shuman award is presented annually by NASCAR and Federal-Mogul's Champion spark plug brand to an individual who has played an integral role in the continued success of Sprint Cup Series competition.
Below is a rundown of NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Champion’s Week activities. In addition to many of the events streamed live on NASCAR.COM, be sure to follow @RCRRacing and @RCR29KHarvick on Twitter and check out the RCR Facebook page facebook.com/RichardChildressRacing for behind-the-scenes action.
