Charter Airing Childress Institute for Pediatric Trauma PSA Featuring Richard Childress
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (May 2, 2013) – Charter, the nation’s fourth largest cable operator, is airing The Childress Institute for Pediatric Trauma’s public service announcement to raise awareness about the No. 1 killer of children in America – serious injury. The PSA will run on select cable channels in Charter’s service areas throughout the U.S. from now until May 26.
“Serious injuries kill more children in America than cancer, birth defects and heart disease combined,” said Richard Childress, president and CEO of Richard Childress Racing and co-founder of the Childress Institute for Pediatric Trauma. “It is our mission to save the lives of injured children across the United States by improving the treatment of critically-injured children. The Childress Institute for Pediatric Trauma is grateful to Charter for helping us raise awareness of pediatric trauma as a healthcare crisis.”
Serious injuries can happen anywhere at any time to any child. The Childress Institute for Pediatric Trauma wants to help every injured child receive the best care, no matter where or how they get hurt.
