After two weeks of road racing, we head to Bristol Motor Speedway for short track racing
. "When we were at Bristol (Motor Speedway) in the spring, our Chevrolet Camaro was fast and had a top five run going, but we had a little miscommunication towards the end that shuffled us back to 10th. I know that Richard Childress Racing has a strong comprehension of Bristol and what needs to go into these Chevys to have a good run. I'm looking forward to it, I know we can run up front and contend for the win."

Will there be a difference in the track running under the lights as opposed to the day in the spring? "The sun will be set, lights will be on and the track will drive similar. Our balance will shift a little bit because of the temperature and sunlight, it'll still be a great race. The NASCAR Nationwide Series always puts on a great show for the fans."

Austin Dillon
No. 3 AdvoCare Chevrolet Camaro

This Week's AdvoCare Chevrolet at Bristol Motor Speedway ...
Austin Dillon will pilot Chassis No. 116 in the Food City 250 at Bristol Motor Speedway. This season, Dillon earned a fourth-place finish in this Chevrolet at Iowa Speedway in August, a second-place finish after starting from the pole at Iowa in June and an 11th-place finish at Bristol Motor Speedway in March. In September 2012, Dillon drove this Chevrolet to sixth-place finishes at Phoenix International Raceway and  Richmond International Raceway, and a 15th-place finish at Iowa Speedway in August.

Dillon at Bristol Motor Speedway ... Dillon has three Bristol Motor Speedway starts to his credit in the Nationwide Series, posting an 11th-place finish in March 2013, after incurring damage during a mid-race incident, and posting a 12th-place finish in March 2012 after he was thwarted by a NASCAR-issued penalty for exiting pit road too fast and challenged by a loose-handling condition throughout the race. He earned a career-best, fourth-place finish at the 0.533-mile short track in August 2012. The 22-year-old Nationwide Series regular has two starts at the half-mile track in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, finishing 17th in 2010 and 23rd in 2011.

The Season So Far ... According to NASCAR's Loop Data Season-to-Date Statistics, Dillon leads the Nationwide Series in Average Starting Position (5.6), has led the second-most laps (483), ranks third in Laps in the Top-15 (89 percent), third in Average Running Position (9.515) maintains the fourth-best Driver Rating (100.2), ranks fourth in Fastest Laps Run (260) and is the fourth-Fastest Driver on Restarts (8.909).

Raising Awareness for DRIVE4COPD ... Dillon is scheduled to help raise awareness for the COPD foundation with an appearance at the Food City store located at 1320 Euclid Ave. in Bristol, Va. from 5-6 p.m. Eastern Time on Thursday, August 22. Dillon's paternal grandfather, Stan Dillon, passed away following a battle with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary disease in May 2012, sparking Dillon to partner with the COPD foundation to encourage all Americans aged 35 or older to log onto to take a brief, five-question screener to see if they might be at risk for COPD, a serious and progressive lung disease that is the third leading cause of death of Americans. If the screener indicates risk, patients are encouraged to take the next step and speak with their healthcare professional or call the COPD Information Line (1-866-316-2673) to discuss what their score may mean. Because COPD is a progressive disease that causes irreversible lung damage, early diagnosis and disease management are critical to helping patients breathe better in the future.

The Childress Institute invests resources in research, education and awareness to improve the treatment for critically injured children in the U.S. and AdvoCare's generous donations are aimed at helping to raise awareness for pediatric trauma, the No. 1 killer of children in America. You can help save the lives of injured children by making a contribution to the Childress Institute in two ways: donate $33 in honor of Dillon via his website, or text WIN to 80077 to make a $10 donation.

What is the racing like at Bristol Motor Speedway?
"Bristol Motor Speedway is a track where the racing has become really aggressive lately, especially with that groove at the top coming in. There will be a lot of beating and banging in the NASCAR Nationwide Series race. It's getting down to the end of the year and guys are trying to position themselves for points, so you're going to see a lot of aggressive driving at Bristol. Hopefully, we'll be one of the cars that can put ourselves out front."

How frustrating is it as a driver when it takes six, seven or even eight laps sometimes to pass someone at Bristol Motor Speedway? "It's frustrating. We dealt with it at Darlington Raceway this year. At some of these racetracks it's just tough. Bristol Motor Speedway has gotten that way. You have to be patient, which is a very key part of these races. Riding in sixth is not a bad day, because on a restart late in the race you're going to have the outside line so you might finish third or fourth. We just need to qualify well and recognize that pit stops will be key. We had a bad pit stop last time we were at Bristol Motor Speedway, so hopefully we can have a clean pit road and come out on top."

Brendan Gaughan
No. 21 South Point Hotel & Casino Chevrolet Camaro

This Week's South Point Hotel & Casino Chevrolet Camaro at Bristol Motor Speedway ...

The Las Vegas native picked up his only pole award during his first appearance at the track in March of 2009. He holds a 17th-place average starting position coupled with a 23.5 average finishing position, has completed 89.2 percent (985 of 1,104) of the laps contested and is credited with 16 laps led.

The facility consists of a 25 story hotel tower and 90,000 square feet convention center located on a 60 acre site along Las Vegas Boulevard in Enterprise, Nevada. Double Duty ... In addition to driving the No. 21 South Point Hotel & Casino Chevrolet Camaro in Friday's race, Gaughan will pilot the No. 62 South Point Hotel & Casino Chevrolet Silverado in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series event on Wednesday, August 21. This race is scheduled to air live on Fox Sports 1 at  8 p.m. Eastern Time, along with the Performance Radio Network and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio, channel 90.

You're scheduled to run double duty at Bristol Motor Speedway. How do you prepare for that as a driver?
"Double duty doesn't bother me. I ran double duty at Michigan (International Speedway) last week, and it wasn't a real big deal for me. At Bristol (Motor Speedway) we have a day off in between, so I don't have to worry about back-to-back races or even back-to-back practices. I'll focus on racing the truck on Wednesday and focus on racing the Nationwide Series car on Friday, so that'll make life easy for me."

What are your thoughts on running the NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Bristol Motor Speedway? "I've always done well at Bristol (Motor Speedway). I even got a pole the first time I ran in the Nationwide Series there. It's still one of my favorite places to race. I'll be working with Shane (Wilson, crew chief) and the No. 62 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series team this weekend. That makes me happy as a driver because I'll be working with guys I'm comfortable with and we have a really good chemistry going."

Ty Dillon
No. 33 WESCO Chevrolet Camaro

This Week's WESCO Chevrolet at Bristol Motor Speedway ...

Dillon drove this Chevrolet to an 11th-place finish at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in March, a 13th-place finish at Darlington Raceway in May and a 23rd-place finish at Dover International Speedway in June.

Bristol Details ... Friday's 250-lap affair marks Dillon's first appearance at the half-mile bullring in the Nationwide Series. At the time of the Nationwide Series race this Friday, Dillon will have made two previous starts at Bristol Motor Speedway in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series.

Fox Sports 1 will provide live coverage of the event beginning at 8 p.m. Eastern Time. The live broadcast can also be heard on the Performance Racing Network and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio, channel 90.

Nationwide in 2013 ... After this weekend's Nationwide Series event at Bristol Motor Speedway, Dillon is slated for three additional races in the No. 33 Chevrolet for the 2013 season. He is scheduled to take the green flag at Richmond International Raceway in September, Texas Motor Speedway in November and the season-finale event at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

This weekend marks your first NASCAR Nationwide Series event at Bristol Motor Speedway. What are your expectations for the race?
"I'm excited to be back behind the wheel of the No. 33 WESCO Chevrolet this weekend at Bristol (Motor Speedway). I've had a few weeks off from the Nationwide Series, but I'm eager to return. It's going to be a big help to have the extra seat time at the track from running the Truck Series race. I think it'll help my performance on Friday night."
