What do you consider your best moment in racing, so far?
"I have a lot, but I have to say the pinnacle would have to be the winning the 2013 NASCAR Nationwide Series Championship with Austin Dillon and the No. 3 team."
What is the toughest part about your job?
"The travel is tough because of how much I have to be away from home and my dog."
What goals do you have for 2014 season?
"I really would like to win a race; if you are good enough to win one race, then you are good enough to win a championship. I would love to win more than one, but I won’t be greedy."
What does racing in California mean to you?
"It’s going home for me; I used to live a couple hours north of Auto Club Speedway. I was at the first race they ever had at the track. It always feels like homecoming, and reminds me of where everything got started for me. I have had some really great memories there with Brendan (Gaughan) and Shane (Wilson) and also had some heartbreak."
Where are some of the best places to visit while in California?
"I would recommend one of the National Parks, Yosemite, Kings Canyon or Sequoya. They are all beautiful places. I don’t think there is anything else like them."
What do you like to do when you aren’t at the racetrack?
"I really enjoy playing paintball, hiking and anything outdoors. In the summertime when I am not traveling, I spend a lot of my time at the lake."
