Ty Dillon Wins at Kentucky Speedway

At the track where he made his Camping World Truck Series debut two years ago, Ty Dillon passed one of the toughest drivers to beat there for his second career victory Thursday.
Dillon got past Kyle Busch for the lead with 26 laps remaining at Kentucky Speedway and crossed the finish line 5.375 seconds ahead of Brad Keselowski to win the UNOH 225. Busch, who like Keselowski is competing in all three NASCAR national series races this week, finished third.
"To beat Kyle Busch and Brad Keselowski, two of the best on four wheels right now — they're winning everything right now — I look up to those guys and I want to be like them," Dillon said. "To be able to beat them was really special."
The victory continued a string of success at Kentucky Speedway by the grandsons of team owner Richard Childress. Austin Dillon swept the two Nationwide Series races last year on the 1.5-mile track.
The brothers both drive the No. 3 made famous by the late Dale Earnhardt.
"I'm sure Dale is smiling down tonight because he's proud of these two young men and what they've done with the 3," Childress said. "I couldn't be prouder. I was with him in a lot of winner's circles with the 3 and these are special also. But I guarantee you he's smiling right now."
Dillon climbed three spots, to third, in the points standings with the victory. Matt Crafton remains the series' points leader by 22 points over Jeb Burton. Dillon is 40 points back.
Dillon fought a loose-handling truck in qualifying and early in the race, but crew chief Marcus Richmond adjusted on it during pit stops until it was right. By the halfway mark, he was running third.
"I knew when the car was perfect it was time to make some moves," he said.
Dillon took his first and only lead from Busch on Lap 125. The victory was his first since last August at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
Dillon said his dirt track experience helps at Kentucky, which is considered one of the roughest and bumpiest tracks on the NASCAR schedule.
