Richard Childress Racing
Design the Winning Older Brothers Rule T-Shirt
February 9, 2013
WELCOME, N.C. (February 9, 2013) – In the spirit of the brotherly rivalry established for Super Bowl XLVII by brothers Jim and John Harbaugh, the Dillon brothers placed a wager on whether older brother John Harbaugh (head coach of the Baltimore Ravens) or younger brother Jim Harbaugh (head coach of the San Francisco 49rs) would win the big game. With the younger brother coming up short, Ty Dillon has an outstanding debt to pay to older brother Austin Dillon.
The bet was placed during a recent Sirius XM NASCAR radio interview with Claire B. Lang, in which the Richard Childress Racing drivers decided if the Ravens clinched the Super Bowl, Ty Dillon would wear an “Older Brothers Rule” shirt during Daytona Speedweeks, while a San Francisco 49ers Super Bowl win would mean Austin Dillon would have to wear a “Younger Brothers Rule” shirt during the festivities in Daytona Beach.
Older brother Austin won the wager and now, Ty has to wear an “Older Brothers Rule” t-shirt for the NASCAR season-opener at Daytona International Speedway. Austin has asked for help from race fans in designing the t-shirt Ty will wear to repay his debt. From now until Tuesday, Feb. 12 at 12 p.m. Eastern Time, fans can submit a t-shirt design that could be chosen as the winning shirt. The lucky designer will win their shirt autographed by the Dillon brothers after Ty has worn it in Daytona.
Participating fans can submit t-shirt designs on Facebook (www.facebook.com/austindillon3, www.facebook.com/TyDillonMotorsports) or Twitter (@austindillon3, @tydillon). Tag both Austin and Ty in the post and use #BrotherlyLove. The winner will be announced via social media on Wednesday, Feb. 13.
