Bristol Stats ... Menard has 12 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series starts at the half-mile oval. His best start of fourth and best finish of fifth both came in 2011. In Menard's last five Sprint Cup Series events at Bristol Motor Speedway, he has earned four top-10 finishes. Driver Intros at Thunder Valley ... Bristol Motor Speedway has a unique way of conducting driver introductions for their Sprint Cup Series races, as drivers walk the red carpet in turn three to a song of their choice. Menard has chosen "Electric Worry" by Clutch for his introduction at the .533-mile facility.

Race Rewind ...
In this event last year at Bristol Motor Speedway, Menard started the No. 27 Chevrolet seventh and finished 10th, collecting his third top-10 finish at the Tennessee short-track.

Menard's Thoughts on Racing at Bristol Motor Speedway:
"I really enjoy short-track racing. That is what our sport was built around. Night racing at Bristol (Motor Speedway) always makes for an exciting evening, for some reason the sparks seem to fly even more when you race under the lights. We've had a pretty good record at Bristol over the past couple of years with four top-10 finishes. We're coming off a great fourth-place run at Michigan International Speedway last weekend and I'm confident that momentum will carry into this weekend. Qualifying is key at Bristol, because track position is very important. If we can get a good starting spot for our Schrock/Menards Chevrolet and stay out of trouble, we'll be in good shape on Saturday evening."

Kevin Harvick
No. 29 Jimmy John's Chevrolet SS

This Week's Jimmy John's Chevrolet SS at Bristol Motor Speedway ...
Kevin Harvick will pilot chassis No. 383 from the Richard Childress Racing NASCAR Sprint Cup Series stable in the IRWIN Tools Night Race. This Chevrolet was most recently driven to an eighth-place result at Dover International Speedway in June.

Freaky Good in Thunder Valley ... Jimmy John's joins Harvick and the No. 29 team for their fifth of eight races during the 2013 Sprint Cup Series season. Since his first Sprint Cup Series appearance at Bristol Motor Speedway in 2001, Harvick has made 25 starts at the half-mile oval. In those 25 starts, the California native has collected one win (April 2005), nine top-five and 12 top-10 finishes. Harvick holds an average starting position of 17.8 coupled with an average finishing position of 12.6, has completed 98.2 percent (12,290 of 12,513) of the laps contested and led 427 circuits.

With A Little Help From My Friends ... Bristol Motor Speedway has a lasting tradition of introducing drivers with a song of their choice. After 25 races at the Tennessee-based facility, Harvick is running short on fresh ideas, so he's requested the help of country music singer Jake Owen. Via a tweet, the California native asked his close friend for help selecting an introduction song. Owen will make the selection and the song will be unveiled to all, including Harvick, during driver introductions prior to Saturday night's race.

Race Rewind ... Starting from the 13th position, Harvick drove Richard Childress Racing's No. 29 Chevrolet to a 15th-place finish in the 2012 edition of the IRWIN Tools Night Race under the lights of Bristol Motor Speedway.

This is your second trip to Bristol Motor Speedway this season, how do you feel about going back for the fall night race
? "We ran really well there (Bristol Motor Speedway) in March, we just kind of got a little bit off on pit strategy at the end, but all-in-all the performance was pretty good. Overall, Bristol is a pretty crazy track. It doesn't matter if it's the old track or new track, it just seems like that night race brings a lot more excitement."

Is Bristol Motor Speedway really all that different since they made the changes to the track? "Bristol (Motor Speedway) is still the same. The only difference is that the top groove takes longer to rubber in, but once it does you're able to run at the top of the race track. It's kind of the same old Bristol that it was before they changed the style of track. The racing groove still moves up the track, and it's still really tough to pass."
Jeff Burton
No. 31 Caterpillar Chevrolet SS

This Weekend's No. 31 Caterpillar Chevrolet at Bristol Motor Speedway ...
Jeff Burton will race chassis No. 392 this weekend at Bristol Motor Speedway. This No. 31 Chevrolet was utilized three times during the 2012 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season at Kentucky Speedway and Dover International Speedway. Burton also piloted this machine to a top-10 finish earlier this season at Phoenix International Raceway and an 11th-place finish at Dover in June.

Career Bristol Stats ... This weekend's 500-lap event marks Burton's 40th start at the half-mile bullring and his 679th-career Sprint Cup Series entry. Burton has garnered one win, eight top-five and 15 top-10 finishes at the track and led 322 laps at the Bristol, Tenn.-based race track.

No Stranger to Victory Lane ...
Burton claimed the 2008 Food City 500 trophy at Bristol Motor Speedway in a 1-2-3 finish for RCR. He also visited Victory lane in NASCAR Nationwide Series competition at the half-mile facility in April 1997.

Sign Here, Please ... On behalf of General Mills, Burton and crew chief Luke Lambert are scheduled to visit Food City Race Night to sign autographs at 5 p.m. Eastern Time on Thursday, Aug. 22 along with several other Sprint Cup Series drivers and teams. Tickets are $5 in advance, $6 at the door (all proceeds go to charity) and wristbands that guarantee an autograph from Burton and Lambert will be distributed at 4 p.m. ET (limited to the first 300 fans). The event is slated to take place in downtown Bristol on the corner of State and Piedmont Streets.

Race Rewind ...
A multi-car accident on lap 192 collected Burton's No. 31 CAT Global Mining Chevrolet in the IRWIN Tools Night Race and spoiled a solid effort from the Richard Childress Racing driver under the lights at Bristol Motor Speedway.

Talk about how Bristol Motor Speedway has evolved into multi-grooved race track
. "I think everyone was surprised last year when the high groove became the preferred line to run. I don't think anyone anticipated that. That usually makes the middle and low lines always open to pass. However, it is really hard to pass at all. Bristol (Motor Speedway) is a completely different track than it was five years ago, but to me it is more of a race now. I know fans enjoyed us beating and banging on one another with all the accidents and tempers flaring, but I think the actual racing is better."
