RCR Crew Member Spotlight: Thomas Costello
Thomas Costello, underneath mechanic on the No. 2 Shore Lodge Chevrolet in the NASCAR Nationwide Series cut his teeth racing in his hometown of St. Petersburg, Florida.
Thomas Costello, underneath mechanic on the No. 2 Shore Lodge Chevrolet in the NASCAR Nationwide Series cut his teeth racing in his hometown of St. Petersburg, Florida. Entering his ninth season with Richard Childress Racing, Costello has had many highlights being a part of the Sprint Cup Series, and Nationwide Series.
The Kannapolis, NC resident began his racing career in 1990 working in the DASH series in Florida. Costello moved to Winsboro, SC in 1998 to pursue his NASCAR career. He enters his second season with Brian Scott and looks forward to competing for the 2014 Nationwide Series championship.

What was your favorite memory from the 2013 season?
Running second at Richmond International Raceway and Indianapolis Motor Speedway and contending for a chance to win.
What goals do you have for the 2014 season?
Win races and compete for a championship
What are you most looking forward to in 2014?
Really to get going again, get back to the race track and in a routine with our schedule and the traveling
What does Daytona mean to you?
I have won at Daytona before, but to win the DRIVE4COPD 300, the first race of the season, being the closest one to home where I grew up, would mean a lot.
What is one of your favorite racing memories?
Winning my first cup race with Kevin Harvick at Talladega in 2010
