Crew Member Spotlight - Freddy Dmuchowski

Freddy Dmuchowski, Jr. serves as the shop foremen for the No. 3 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series team. Affectionately nicknamed “Junior” by his best friend John growing up in his hometown of Hillsborough, New Jersey, Dmuchowski currently resides in Oak Ridge, N.C. with his wife Hope and children Brayden (five), Logan (four) and Connor (one). He has been involved in racing for more than 20 years, with a history at Richard Childress Racing that stretches back to 2006.

What are your hobbies when you’re not working on the No.3 Dow/Cheerios/American Ethanol Chevrolet SS?
“I really like video gaming and playing sports with my boys. They keep me busy, for sure.”

What are your favorite sports teams?
“The Carolina Panthers, Yankees, Nets & Devils.”

What is your most memorable racing moment?

“My most memorable racing moment was winning my first dirt sportsman modified feature at New Egypt Speedway in New Jersey.”

How did you get into racing?
“My dad got me interested in racing.”

What was your dream job growing up?

“Building Race Cars.”

What is your favorite restaurant on the road?
“The Tobacco Company in Richmond, Virginia.”

If you could pick a song, what would be your Bristol intro song?
“’Born to Run’ by Bruce Springsteen   ---- Hey I’m From Jersey!!”

What is the toughest part about your job?

“I would say the toughest part about my job is multitasking. There is always a lot going on around RCR.”

What is the best part about working with Austin Dillon? 

“I think it’s going to be fun to watch him learn and get better every race.”
