SKF begins 10th season in NASCAR racing
The 2009 season marks SKF's 12th season as a NASCAR team sponsor and technical
partner in the sport. SKF began its relationship with Jeff Burton in 1997, and
has expanded its involvement each consecutive year.
Today, SKF teams up with RCR for its fifth year as a sponsor on the No. 07 Jack
Daniels Chevy driven by Casey Mears, the No. 29 Shell-Pennzoil Chevy driven by
Kevin Harvick, the No. 31 Caterpillar Chevy driven by Jeff Burton and the No.
33 Cheerios/Hamburger-Helper Chevrolet driven by Clint Bowyer.
Additionally, a technical partnership with the Richard Childress Racing
organization allows SKF to continue it technological contributions to the sport
as well as various industries. Engineers from the two organizations communicate
worldwide to develop new technologies focused toward building on RCR's racing
performance, as well as new products intended to increase the safety and
performance of consumer vehicles around the world.
