Austin Dillon took to the AAA Stage at Victory Plaza on Sunday morning at Dover International Speedway with a special mission.
Dillon was there to present a 2018 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 – styled after the same No. 3 AAA car that he drives on Sundays – to Robert Walker of Elkton, Maryland who won the car via a sweepstakes entitled “Drivin’ Like Dillon.” The sweepstakes, launched in May by AAA, garnered thousands of entries.
“I’m really happy for Robert and proud of this program that AAA has put together,” said Dillon.
“AAA is an innovative partner that cares about their members and our sport, and it’s an honor to be able to help present the keys to a Camaro ZL1 to a deserving fan,” he said. “The Camaro ZL1 is one of my favorite cars, so I know that Robert will have fun cruising around in it.”
Walker’s new Camaro ZL1 comes with a host of AAA products and services, including a AAA Premier Membership for a year. He also participated in a VIP weekend at Dover International Speedway, complete with a view of Sunday’s race from the No. 3 team’s pit box and meeting RCR driver Daniel Hemric before Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series event.
AAA has long been a part of NASCAR and has worked with Richard Childress Racing, Dillon and the No. 3 car for the past three seasons.
