Anthony Alfredo Places 13th at Dover International Speedway


Anthony Alfredo finished 13th in the Drydene 200 at Dover International Speedway on Sunday.

Alfredo’s result added 24 points to his season total. Alfredo is now No. 19 in the NASCAR Xfinity Series standings with 350 points. A total of 12 drivers make the postseason cut.

Alfredo started in fifth position. The first-year driver has picked up one top-five and six top-10 finishes in his career.

Sunday’s race was the first of Alfredo’s career at Dover International Speedway.

The Ridgefield, Connecticut native’s starting position was nine spots higher than his career mark of 13.8, but he completed the race two places behind his career average finish of 11.

Alfredo raced against a field of 36 drivers on the way to his 13th-place finish. The race endured five cautions and 24 caution laps. Prior to the checkered flag there were 12 lead changes.
