Austin Hill dominates Xfinity Series playoff race, wins at Homestead-Miami

RCR driver Austin Hill dominated the Xfinity Series playoff race at Homestead-Miami and punched his ticket to the Championship 4.

With 12 laps to go, Richard Childress Racing’s Austin Hill passed Stewart-Haas Racing’s Cole Custer to punch his ticket to the Championship 4 after winning the NASCAR Xfinity Series playoff race at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

The driver of the No. 21 Chevrolet led 82 of 200 laps in the Credit One NASCAR Amex Credit Card 300. Custer led 67 laps but settled for a runner-up finish.

Aric Almirola, Jesse Love and Sheldon Creed rounded out the top five.

Riley Herbst, Ryan Sieg, Justin Allgaier, Sam Mayer and AJ Allmendinger completed the top 10.

Next Saturday, the Xfinity Series heads to Martinsville Speedway for the Round of 8 elimination race (3:30 p.m. ET, The CW, MRN Radio, SiriusXM NASCAR Radio).
