Richard Childress Racing’s Jason Golden Honored by Ohio University

RCR’s Chief Revenue Officer Named Charles R. Higgins Distinguished Alumni Recipient
WELCOME, N.C. (March 1, 2023) – The Ohio University AECOM Center for Sports Administration has named Richard Childress Racing’s Jason Golden as the 2023 Charles R. Higgins Distinguished Alumni Award recipient. Golden, who serves as chief revenue officer for RCR, graduated from Ohio University’s Master of Sports Administration (MSA) program in 2001, and previously earned his bachelor’s degree in sports industry studies in 2000.
“We’re proud of Jason’s accomplishments at RCR and to his community,” said Torrey Galida, president of RCR. “Every day, we see the impact of Jason’s passion for securing and maintaining key partner relationships for RCR, building a best-in-class business development team, and elevating the sports landscape through active recruiting and mentoring of promising students.”
Golden has been a strong supporter of OHIO’s MSA students and an active alumni advisory board member. He annually hosts OHIO students at RCR to provide recruitment and mentoring opportunities and has established a strong record of hiring and developing graduates.
During his eight years at RCR, Golden has been recognized as an innovator in the sponsorship space by helping to open new brand categories to NASCAR. In his current role as chief revenue officer at RCR, Golden has played an integral role in several facets of the legendary race team, including sponsorship, marketing, licensing, television and digital rights. He currently serves on numerous boards and committees that serve teams in the motorsports industry.
